Supervision
Clinical Supervision at Diversity Lounge
At Diversity Lounge, we believe supervision works best when it begins with mutual respect for how each person experiences and processes the world.
We offer clinical supervision for qualified counsellors and student counsellors seeking a professional space that honours difference, curiosity, and authentic practice. Our aim is to provide a supervisory home where your professional identity can grow without pressure to fit a single model of how a therapist should be.
Our Approach
Supervision here is structured, ethical, and collaborative — grounded in safety while allowing flexibility for individual ways of working.
A Grounded Ethical Framework: We maintain clear professional standards that prioritise client wellbeing while supporting your confidence and development.
Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice: Rather than viewing cognition through a “standard vs. other” lens, we explore how different processing styles — yours and your clients’ — shape therapeutic work.
Reducing the Need to Mask: Supervision is a space where authenticity is welcomed. Together we reflect on the work without performance pressure or neuro-normative expectations.
Collaborative Partnership: Supervision is not about correction. It is a reflective partnership where your professional voice is supported and refined.
Inclusive for All Practitioners: Whether you identify as neurodivergent, neurotypical, questioning, or simply curious about your practice, you are welcome here.
The Seven-Eyed Model: A Holistic Perspective
We work with the Seven-Eyed Model of supervision, allowing us to consider therapy within its full relational and systemic context:
-
The client and their lived experience
-
Therapeutic interventions and choices
-
The client–therapist relationship
-
Your internal and somatic responses
-
The supervisory relationship itself
-
The supervisor’s reflective process
-
The wider cultural and systemic influences shaping the work
This approach helps supervision remain reflective, ethical, and deeply relational.
